Our distillery is not a factory. It is an extension of our home – a place where knowledge, tradition and family responsibility are distilled into rakija.
Our stills are handmade to measure by master craftsmen from the Valjevo region and range from 120 to 300 litres in capacity. Double distillation takes place in them every day, under the family’s watchful eye. No automation, no rushing – every step is monitored, recorded and refined.
Fermentation takes place under controlled conditions but without industrial additives. We let it follow its natural course, drawing on the experience of several generations and the precision that small batches allow.
Every bottle is made by hand – from selecting the fruit, through distillation, to bottling, labelling and packaging. Each one offers more than exceptional flavour: it also bears the signature of the Pimić family.
Destilerija Pimić sells directly to customers, with a particular focus on corporate gifts for companies, institutions and diplomatic occasions – rakija that makes an impression.
Contact usBehind every bottle lies a deliberate choice – no shortcuts, no industrial additives, no mass production.
No automation, no artificial additives – fermentation and distillation follow their natural course under the constant supervision of the Pimić family.
Our stills, from 120 to 300 litres, are bespoke pieces handcrafted by master craftsmen from the Valjevo region – and this directly shapes the distinctive profile of our rakija.
Fruit selection, distillation, ageing and labelling – all by hand, in small batches, and with the family taking personal responsibility for every bottle.

The National Association of Distillers of Serbia was established on the initiative of Dr Miroslav Pimić, who is also its president. The only organisation of its kind in Serbia and the Balkans, it has laid the foundations for the modern development of the rakija industry. Under his leadership, the Association has introduced standards that guarantee the authenticity and premium quality of Serbian rakija, ensuring that every product bears the hallmark of tradition and outstanding craftsmanship.
At the same time, the process of protecting geographical origin was set in motion, helping to position šljivovica and other types of rakija as products with a clear identity and international recognition. The fight against unregulated production is of particular importance, as it protects both the reputation of distillers and the trust of consumers.
The Association has opened the door to international promotion, presenting Serbian rakija at prestigious trade fairs and on European Union markets, and thus raising Serbia’s distilling tradition to the level of a global brand.
